for the love of dahlias

How we got started

I started growing flowers in 2013 when I bought my house. My friend and I put in two perennial beds. It was so amazing to watch my flowers come up year after year. My beds doubled in size over the next 4 years. When my boyfriend moved in, he installed another bed as a surprise for me. I planted everything that I could. We have slowly been increasing our growing space year after year.

I always had dahlias but treated them as an annual. Buying new ones year after year. Then my friend Erin started her flower farm. She was placing a large tuber order and I jumped on board. That summer, my dahlias were amazing. It was crazy how many blooms I had and how long they bloomed for. I was hooked!

The fall of 2022, my husband and I decided to go all in and start a new adventure. I gave notice at my restaurant job that I had held for over 30 years. 

Our idea is to grow dahlias on a much larger scale to spread the joy and wonder that dahlias bring us. The wide variety and unique nature of Dahlias has become a passion and borderline addiction for me (like most in the dahlia community).
